Wireless Industry Agrees to Standardize on Phone Chargers!

Say hallelujah. The Wall Street Journal reports that a consortium of 17 handset makers and cellular operators have agreed to agree on a standard charger for all member phones. Apparently, discarded chargers currently create more than 51,000 tons of waste a year. Expect deliverance from charger hell by 2012.
